RED HOT, the eagerly anticipated sequel to the novel, RED HOT PROPERTY, is in the development process and the author is creating a new character, possibly based on your animal companion, or another animal of your choice! The winner of the RED HOT PROPERTY Best Friends charity raffle will see their animal's name and likeness in print as a character in RED HOT. The winner will be Talisman's friend or foe, romantic interest or romantic rival. All species of animal may enter. This could get interesting!

Who Is Talisman?
Talisman DeMitri
Talisman is one of the heroines of RED HOT PROPERTY, a new seriocomic novel about the real estate industry. She is the feisty Australian Shepherd office mascot who is way more intelligent than most of the humans in the novel. Whatever your species of animal companion, Talisman would love to make his or her acquaintance. Tali's sister lives on a ranch, and might meet your friend there. Or perhaps your pet's likeness could be the member of a family who is selling their home. There is even the chance that the winner will become a new rival mascot in the office. Now, that could prove to be most entertaining!
How The Raffle Works
Enter between August 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008. You may enter as many times as you like. Here is how it works:
Go to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary website and sponsor an animal of your choice for $25.00. The Sanctuary will e-mail you information about your sponsored animal, as well as a paid receipt. Forward this documention on to raffle@RedHotNovel.com. The contest begins on August 1, 2008 and closes on December 31, 2008 at midnight MST. The drawing will be held right after the first of the year and the winner will be immediately notified by the author. Devin will then gather information about your animal companion to use in her creation of the new fictional character. Anticipated release date for RED HOT is in 2009. No Pet Of Your Own?
If you don't have an animal companion of your own, please consider sponsoring an animal and—if you win—submitting that grateful creature as RED HOT's new character! Or, perhaps you might want to enter as a surprise gift for one of your friends or family members. If you win the drawing, their animal companion will be featured. What a great gift idea!
Contest Rules
1. You may submit multiple entries: one for each animal sponsored at Best Friends between August 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008.
2. You assume responsibility for sending proof of sponsorship to raffle. Your entry will be acknowledged via e-mail, so if you do not receive a reply within a week, please resubmit your entry. The author, publisher, and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary are not responsible for submissions lost in cyberspace. You must also advise us of any change in e-mail address so we can reach you if you should win!
3. The winner will be required to sign a waiver allowing the name and likeness of their animal companion to be used at the author's discretion in the novel RED HOT.
4. The winner will provide author with a quality photograph of the animal to post on this website and to use in any and all promotional venues, be they print or electronic media. The author, publisher, and Best Friends Animal Sanctuary are free to use the name and likeness of the animal without financial compensation to winner.
5. Everyone is allowed to enter, including the author's friends or family, the publisher's employees or their families, and the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary employees or their families. (However, you must be at least 18 years old to enter.) The winning entry will be drawn by an independent third party: Raymond E. Derr, Certified Public Accountant, of Anderson - Derr, CPA's, PC.
